With Super Saiyan spirit, make everyday Christmas

I'm not a Christian. Jesus is said not to have been born on December 25. December 25 is said to be Mithra's birthday. Honestly, I don't care. Because the ideal of Christmas is true and positive.

When I think of the ideal of Christmas, I think of charity, good will, love, gifts, carefully prepared food, bright and colorful lights, and happiness - a lot of good vibes, basically. Christmas ideals bring out the best in people.

Now, the only thing is, this Christmas spirit only seems to last the year-end holiday season. Even before the economic problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine, Christmas appeared to have been losing its luster. At least here in South Korea, it's just another day off from work. Some apartment complexes have Christmas light decorations, and cafés carry seasonal items, but unless you're in the touristy parts of the country, there is nothing special to it. Even the fancy festivities are put on by organizers or retailers as money grabs.

So is there any way to reverse this sad trend?

With the exception of some moments in passing, humanity has been living in a state of plight since at least the beginning of our recorded history. Economic tyranny, slavery, manipulation, and war have been imposed on humanity since time immemorial. To boot, this plight has never been as worse. It is going to take a monumental and collaborative effort of everyone tired of the negativity and wishing to transform their environment to one predominated by positivity.

Hence, my suggestion in this post, as silly it may sound, is meant to be a starting point to bring people together, share their ideas, and implement solutions.

I suggest starting by turning Christmas into a winter festival. Winter can be long depending on where one is from, but Christmas is but a day. Does the beauty of winter really end just because Christmas is over? If you wish to keep the "Christmas" spirit year-round, does it really matter if it really is Christmas? Do you really wish to be mentally dependent on marketing ploys as "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday" designed to push merchandise sales? And when the festive food and gifts aren't circulating, do you really wish to perceptually limit yourself to the daily grind of wherever you may work?

Afterwards, let's turn winter festival into seasonal festivals. As winter winds down and spring approaches, we would live by the spirit of spring. As spring turns to summer and summer turns to autumn, we would live by the respective spirit of summer and autumn, and so forth. If you live in the summer hemisphere, the cycle would flow in reverse. If you live in the tropics, you can adjust the "festivals" to your respective Earth cycles and signs.

In the end, this is not about establishing a festival or even a festive culture. It is about becoming conscious of the cycles of the planet, appreciating the natural changes we see and feel, and living through positive vibes in the process. Many people subconsciously sense the Earth's planetary cycles anyway, and as long as your individual routine or community culture is in tune with nature's signs, I don't see how it would be a negative.

The process of achieving positive vibrations and outcomes will not be easy or pretty: It will involve constant striving to establish, protect, and refine positive economic processes. Resisting inner and outer forces that threaten to undo gains is a must. As I mentioned earlier, I do not have all the answers. However, let us use this occasion to come together, share ideas, develop and implement positive economic processes, and turn the tide.

I see our collective undertaking akin to Goku vs. Frieza in Dragon Ball Z: The tyrant Frieza's sheer power has forced Goku, Piccolo, Krillin, Gohan, Vegeta, and everyone present on Planet Namek to fight for their lives, with some dying. Then, by collaborating with plants to form power for a Genki Dama ("Spirit Bomb"), Goku hurts Frieza. Krillin's (second) death, by Frieza's hand, acts as the final straw: Goku's indignation removes his perceptive barrier to accessing Super Saiyan power. Frieza's low vibrational power can no longer contain Goku's disruptive power, and Goku defeats Frieza.

It's not going to be easy. But focus on the goal, the benefits of achieving that goal, and what to accomplish day-to-day, and the process will be fun - just like Goku's pure enjoyment of his martial arts training and battles.

Merry Christmas.
