Fellas,

The Mayweather-Mosley post-fight piece "All he saw were shadows" is out.

I take a look at Mayweather-Mosley from the Shane Mosley angle.

I titled it "All he saw were shadows" because that's what the fight looked like to me. Shadows of the blindingly fast Floyd Mayweather, Jr. and of Mosley's former self.

Hopefully, we'll get to see Mayweather and Mosley go toe to toe in an epic battle, but as I said in my reply to Henry, the more pressure an opponent puts on Mayweather, the greater sweet science lesson he gives.

For example, against a bull-rushing Ricky Hatton, Mayweather put on a clinic in movement, counterpunching and clinch fighting. The way I saw it, the Pretty Boy used his structure and technique to smother Hatton - who's specialty is fighting inside - and schooled him outside before knocking him out.

That's why I'm expecting to be entertained more by a Floyd Mayweather clinic than an all-out war between two greats.

I personally love to watch Floyd Mayweather in action.

To me, every fight of his is a masterful lesson in the sweet science.

However, for obvious reasons, people are more likely to prefer action fighters who put on the pressure (like Manny Pacquiao) to defensive counterpunchers.

I agree. Mayweather has the clear skill and speed advantage - and that's not even taking age and wear-and-tear into account.

The reason why it's so hard to beat Mayweather is that the more pressure an opponent puts on him, the bigger sweet science lesson he administers.

This will also apply to the case of fighting Shane Mosley.

Mosley's one of the all-time greats, but won't look it against Floyd. Floyd's too smart to fight Mosley's fight. Look for him to counter and use his speed with a lot of leading right hands. The only way for Sugar Shane to win it is if he brings 200% and completely smothers Floyd with activity, risking punishment from one of the great counter punchers of all time. Agree with the prediction of U 12 Mayweather. I think it'll be an exciting match, (no Mosley fight isnt) worth the $ on ppv.

I can't see him really struggling here. I don't know if I'm in a minority here, but I find Mayweather's style pretty exciting to watch. He boxes like a boxer, not like a street fighter. Surely that doesn't make him boring?
