Previously, I took a look into the "Machine vs. Beast" aspect of UFC 107, with BJ Penn, Frank Mir and Kenny Florian being the well-oiled fighting machines that will fight the beasts Diego Sanchez, Cheick Kongo and Clay Guida, respectively.
Maybe I'm being redundant here, because to be a well-oiled fighting machine, one has to be relaxed and smooth in mind and body, but I believe that the feminine touch will lead Penn, Mir and Florian to victories on Saturday night.
In the Shaw Brothers classic Fist/Clan of the White Lotus, the hero Hong Wen-Ting (played by Gordon Liu) doesn't have a snowball's chance in beating Pai Mei aka Priest White Lotus until he learns the finer embroidery kung fu technique from his wife Mei-Hsiao (played by Kara Hui).
The three protagonists of UFC 107 have already incorporated the delicate side to fighting, possessing a deeper and wider understanding of the game than their antagonist counterparts.
I predict that BJ Penn will box and takedown-defense his way to a Round 3 TKO victory over a wild Diego Sanchez.
Also, I see Frank Mir submitting a limited Cheick Kongo on the ground in the second round, and Kenny Florian notching a unanimous decision victory over the hard-charging Clay Guida via mobile evasion and precision counterstriking.
