Dr. Octagon has a better chance of beating Fedor Emelianenko on Saturday night than does Brett Rogers. With his Y3K space travelling, combat and Octagonecological skills, Dr. Octagon can at least ask the stars to align.
Brett Rogers can't even ask. The dude's not even a star in MMA.
I've said it earlier, but for a historical upset to occur, everything has to go right for Rogers. Fedor may not be invincible, but when his opponent is someone like The Grim, he virtually is.
Fedor-Rogers won't end up becoming another Tyson-Douglas.
(Tyson-Douglas, Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!-style after the jump)
Everything went wrong for Mike Tyson in that upset for the ages : Tyson was unmotivated, unprepared and his life outside the ring was in turmoil. Hell, his corner didn't even bring a cutman nor an enswell.
And everything went right for Buster Douglas, Jr. : He was fighting Tyson. He was fighting for his deceased mom. He put aside all his underachievement and trained for the fight of his life. With 6-foot 4-inches of height and 6-foot 11-inches of reach, he was much taller and longer than Iron Mike. He even survived a vicious uppercut in the eighth that almost knocked him out.
Unless celestial powers from outer space intervene to align Brett Rogers' astrological destiny on Saturday night, Fedor will handle business like he always does.
