Machida-Shogun makes me want to watch kung fu movies | SCRIPT FIGHTING

A fancier title for Lyoto Machida vs. Mauricio Rua is Dragon vs. Shogun.

I've watched some kung fu movies lately (Crippled Avengers, Shogun Assassin). I've also written a piece featuring Wu-Tang songs heavily powered by kung fu sound bytes.

But the upcoming throwdown between the two Brazilian fighters makes me want even more kung fu.

Dragon vs. Shogun has the makings of a classic. Machida could dominate and put on a show or Shogun could score a shocking upset. There could even be a close, hard-fought fight. We'd have to see what actually happens on the night of UFC 104 (10 PM ET October 24, PPV), but I dare to say that the chances of the fight being boring are low.

Shaolin and Wu Tang and Shaolin vs. Lama are the kung fu flicks I want to watch. If RZA from Wu-Tang likes them, you can't go wrong.

And you bet I'll watch them before UFC 104 - when Dragon vs. Shogun will be the greatest kung fu showdown since Shaolin tussled with Wu Tang and Lama.
