Will Shaq save the world? | SCRIPT FIGHTING

presented by BabesInKorea.com

I'm not saying that Shaq is going to lay down the law with the strength of Steel.

I'm not saying that Shaq will grant the world's tired, poor and huddled masses yearning to breathe free some Kazaam magic to salvage themselves.

Hell, I'm not even saying that Shaq will help LeBron James win his first ring.

But if anyone can save the world, it's Shaq.

While Michael Jordan and David Beckham's off-court personas can feel like big media creations, Shaq has pioneered his own larger-than-life personality : From rap records to movies to breakdancing to quotable humor to reality TV, Shaq has been at the forefront of the multimedia movement.

And now, he's gone digital with Twitter.

The most important thing to note about the way Shaq has run his career is that he's been an active participant on his own terms. He's been a man of his times, which isn't easy. He's got reserve police duty, MMA training and WWE guest host on his resume.

Plus, he's even getting himself educated in broadcasting.

With the world full of conflicts, underdevelopment and uneven distribution of wealth, I think the future lies in reconstruction and creating new worlds, especially with humanitarian consideration. The world will require planners, builders, protectors and promoters.

With his success, fame and awareness of the world and its people, Shaq would be the perfect man for the job of promoter. As we know, Shaq was a dominant basketball player; he may not have been nearly as dominant a rapper or actor, but don't tell me he hasn't been charismatic or entertaining - or that he won't win hearts and minds. This leads me to think that...

If anyone can save the world, it's Shaq.
