Wild Beatdowns! : It's time for Kimbo Slice to order his welfare cheese

Upon seeing how seriously and hard he was taking his MMA training, I rooted for the success of Kimbo Slice. However, after reading reports that he actually thinks he has a chance at a boxing career (“Boxing is wide open right now. I want to do it all.”), I have nothing but contempt left for Kimbo.

As a sports, MMA and boxing fan, I have this question to ask : What does he think this is? A freak show?

Whether it's boxing or MMA, Kimbo Slice has no business being in the fight game. Although curiosity and his taking MMA seriously made him fans, by buying into his own hype (“It comes with the territory” re: getting knocked out by Seth Petruzelli), Kimbo is relegating himself to a career of collecting welfare cheese.

With no technical skills, no footwork, no conditioning and no chin, Kimbo Slice would be lucky to beat Butterbean. And don't even get me going about what would happen if he were to fight the Klitschkos, David Haye or Samuel Peter.

If I were Kimbo and wanted to feed my family anything besides welfare cheese, I'd head over to Japan and do what Bob Sapp's been doing : just pride himself on being a freak show - nothing more, nothing less.

P.S. I don't like holding grudges, but it would take some serious karmic retribution to Kimbo - like being schooled and knocked out cold - for me to forgive and forget his insult to the fight game.
